According to the Constitution, appeals can only be made on the grounds of "procedural unfairness" (such as an attempt to exclude exonerating evidence) or "harmful bias". Students can file an appeal in the week after receiving their decision in a letter to Dean Kathleen Deignan which outlines the qualifying reasons.
The most recent statistical report by the Honor Committee outlines that, in the 5 academic years between the Fall of 2014 and the Spring of 2018, there have been 16 appeals. 13 of them were unsuccessful, 2 reduced a two-year suspension to a one-year suspension with censure, and 1 overturned a decision.
